Throughout this week, UON came together across a series of events to recognise Cancer Council Western Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea.
Every year close to 150,000 Australians are diagnosed with cancer. The impact of a cancer diagnosis is far-reaching and impacts families, workplaces and communities.
Cancer Council is the largest non-government funder of cancer research in the country. Thanks to fundraising initiatives like these, Cancer Council has invested almost $250 million in Australian cancer research in the past 5 years.
Due to the generosity of all, UON was able to raise $1,600! Every dollar will go to Cancer Council to fund research, support services, prevention programs, and advocacy. This will help them achieve their mission of a cancer-free future.
