UON expands with Goldfields facility

Feb 14, 2022

UON is expanding its presence in the WA Goldfields with a dedicated Kalgoorlie facility, local personnel and additional equipment.
With increased levels of UON equipment operating in the region and the company’s commitment to delivering energy solutions to clients, the Kalgoorlie workshop will enhance the services provided locally to customers.
Power generation, dewatering solutions, equipment hire, construction and renewable solutions will all be provided through the Goldfields branch, further supported by UON’s ongoing Perth operations.
UON has welcomed back Kalgoorlie resident Tyson Knight as its Goldfields Branch Manager. Tyson spent seven years with UON before relocating to the Goldfields for the last three years. His local knowledge, coupled with his technical and operational experience with UON is a great kick start for the branch.
UON’s Goldfields Business Development Manager James Loonam will also be based at the facility, on hand to meet with clients and develop the operational solutions they need. Local service personnel and administration support will continue to grow the Goldfields team.
UON General Manager Energy, Wesley Eate said UON’s facility was focused on providing direct and local support to the Goldfields.
“We have been delivering power and water solutions to clients across the Goldfields for many years. Our growth, our technology and the demand for equipment mean the best way for UON to support our clients is to expand our footprint and establish the facility,” Wesley said.
UON has backed the Goldfields expansion with investments in a range of new equipment to support local mining operations across short and long-term hire requirements.
The introduction of renewable energy solutions means UON’s clients can further increase efficiency and realise operational expenditure savings, without risking reliability.
Make sure you contact UON’s Goldfields team at 10 Hunter Street, West Kalgoorlie, to discuss the range of energy and water management solutions that can be created to keep you on and keep you operational.
