Leadership development to support journey of growth

Feb 20, 2023

To continue to strengthen the knowledge and skills of leaders in all areas of the business, UON has invested in a customised UON Leadership Development Program.

The first group of participants started their 12-month journey this month, with the program intended to provide leaders at various levels with the tools to grow individually, and to also support and develop their teams.

The UON Leadership Development Program is by invitation and will equip the participants with the personal knowledge and skills to support them in their roles, and to also support and assist their teams across all areas of the company. The program is split across four key learning areas of Leading Self, Leading Others, Leading Culture and Leading Change.

The inaugural participants selected from across the company are: Geoff Smith, Michael Potterton, Luke Schneider, Paul Lovick, Robert Davies, Lauren Grogan, Mikyle Vester, Alex Dunn, Luke Dennis, Alan Browne, Akiko Carlton and Luke Findlay.

The program is a key aspect of UON’s Strategic Initiative to Increase Our People Strength, looking at the structures, attraction and retention of skilled employees and the ongoing training and development of people across the organisation.

The development of the participants’ skills and understanding during the course will also form part of UON’s journey of change management and foster the continuing growth of a positive culture in all areas.

The participants will take part in a full day once a month, with nominees for a second LDP intake  being assessed in preparation for commencing mid-year.
