Some traditional festive fun will provide some joy and delight for some less fortunate children in the community once again this year.
UON’s traditional Kris Kringle/Secret Santa with a Twist sees participating UON team members given a colleague’s name. They then purchased a child’s gift for that person’s inner child, wrapping it and placing it under the tree in the Reception at Victoria Road.
The participating team members then gathered to share and unwrap the gifts and release their inner child.
Gathering the collection of gifts together, UON’s Kris Kringle organiser and ‘Chief Elf’, Debbie Doyle delivered the gifts to the The Angels Mission charity and the Children’s Cancer ward, to be distributed to bring some Christmas joy of children in less fortunate situations.
“Needless to say, I got two huge big hugs from them and have been asked to pass on their humble and immense gratitude to UON on behalf of all the children who will be blessed. As the saying goes, you are either a believer in Santa or a helper,” Debbie said.
Thanks to everyone who took part in the Kris Kringle activity supporting the community.
