In July 2025, UON proudly partnered with AUSEV® and Lewis Auto Hire to deliver the WA Drive Day in Perth – a collaboration that showcased the future of electric vehicles, renewable energy, and the infrastructure that makes it all possible.

Each of us brought a vital piece of the puzzle: AUSEV® with end-to-end solutions for commercial EVs, Lewis Auto Hire with flexible, fit-for-purpose EV hire solutions, and UON with the charging infrastructure to power it all. Together, it was a demonstration of how collaboration and innovation can accelerate the shift to smarter, cleaner operations across Western Australia.

The event brought together more than 100 mining companies, fleet managers, and industry leaders. Guests test drove the all-electric Ford F-150 Lightning, saw the Tesla Model Y mine-spec upfit, and experienced live on-track and fleet demonstration scenarios. For many, it was their first look at how electric vehicles can perform in real-world mining and industrial settings.

We’re demonstrating that solutions are already available today that are 100% renewable, 100% off-grid, and capable of charging EV infrastructure. WA has very high ambient temperatures, and it is a high dust environment, but the UON SMART™ DC-FC we’ve produced is designed for exactly that, delivering reliable fast charging where it’s needed most.
